Wednesday, September 3, 2006Someone had to ask
Wow, so if you see Bruce DeMara from the Toronto Star buy the man a stiff drink.
When the floor was opened up to journalists at this afternoon's presser for 'Breaking & Entering,' the entertainment reporter decided to ask Sean Penn's wife, Robin Wright Penn, her thoughts on Ontario Health Promotion Minister Jim Watson's assertion that her husband should be charged for violating the province's smoking law. Poor De Mara couldn't get an answer before being curtly asked - by moderator Henri Behar - to pass the mic. Afterwards, while in the washroom, I could hear various reporters and photographers lambasting his decision to ask, but hey, someone had to. Earlier on, a reporter from the Globe & Mail asked Pierce Brosnan if he was looking forward to Daniel Craig's 007 in November's 'Casino Royale.' Said Brosnan exasperatingly: "It was going all so well.” “I'm looking forward to it,” he then added. “Daniel Craig’s going to do a fantastic job." When someone, later in the day, asked the Dixie Chicks whether they were using their doc, 'Shut Up And Sing,' to help flog sales of their latest disc, 'Taking The Long Way,' and pump ticket sales for their Accidents & Accusations tour, Martie Maguire dismissed them outright. “We would've worn make-up," she said. By afternoon's end, I was wondering if anyone would be brave enough to ask Jennifer Lopez whether her collaboration with Marc Anthony - in the biopic 'El Cantante' - will fair better than the films she made with Ben Affleck. Not surprisingly, no one was brave enough to open up that can of guaranteed whoop ass! Comments:No comments for this post yet... Leave a comment:
