Back on ice - and bracing for the Wings
A couple of old-school wins over the Colorado Avalanche didn't earn the Flames a day off. Not even an option day.
Probably a good time to remind them who's up next. The Detroit Red WIngs are in town for a Saturday night Hockey Night in Canada affair and are a much tougher squad to face than the Avs team that's heading nowhere fast.
All those improvements in the last couple of outings will need to go up a notch against Detroit, which is again a top-flight squad.
For those who wonder these things, same line combos in practice today as we've seen lately.
Bertuzzi-Langkow-Iginla
Cammalleri-Boyd-Bourque
Glencross-Conroy-Moss
Nystrom-Primeau-Prust
Nothing odd about that, yes, but it also likely means Matthew Lombardi is not quite ready to return.
